Oxfam
Oxfam has set up an Online Hub in Portishead and needs 100+ volunteers to help operate the business. Our goal is to list 20,000 items for sale on our online shop and we require computer savvy and enthusiastic individuals.
Volunteer Product Creators
Duties will include creating detailed and eye-catching online listings of our products that would appeal to buyers. This position is particularly important in driving the business so would suit someone who can write creative and impressionable listings.
Volunteer Fashion Scouts
Duties will include identifying quality saleable clothing to go on sale on our online shop such as Retro, Vintage and Designer items. This role will also involve stock control and inventory management. Some interest or experience of working in fashion would be useful but not essential.
Volunteer Fashion Researchers
Duties will include researching Designer, Vintage and Retro clothing online to optimise sales of donated clothing on our online shop. Some interest or experience of working in fashion would be useful but not essential.
Volunteer Recruitment and Media Officers
Duties will include assisting the Site Manager in maintaining a core base of 100+ volunteers and working with the media and local communities to promote our volunteering opportunities. Experience in recruitment and working with the media would be useful.
Volunteer Photographers
Duties will include dressing mannequins then taking photographs of the clothing ready to be uploaded onto the website. An interest in photography would be useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
Volunteer Dispatch Controllers
Duties will include picking and packing goods ready for delivery and updating dispatch systems. This position is particularly important to ensure an efficient and smooth running of the orders fulfilment centre.
